BM CORE HEAT
BM CORE HEAT
BM CORE HEAT uses medical grade thermal energy transfer sensors manufactured by Zurich-based greenTEG AG for maximum accuracy. They are the same sensors used by hospitals and photonics manufacturers around the world.
During muscular exercise, core temperature rises rapidly until sensible (radiative and convective) and insensible heat loss increase to balance metabolic heat production and achieve steady-state values. Tracking the BM CORE HEAT Heat Strain Index over time can reveal patterns and thresholds of performance degradation associated with heat stress.
Accuracy
The core temperature estimation is one of the critical functionalities in Lithium-ion Battery Management System (BMS) for effective thermal management and fault detection. Since it is impractical to measure the core temperature of a single cell using physical sensors, a precise thermal model for online prediction is crucial for a smart BMS. However, it is challenging to model a high-level thermal model with optimum computational cost for implementation onboard low-cost BMS.
In this study, an ECM-based heat generation model and a first-order thermal model were developed in MATLAB/Simulink. The models were integrated with a Kalman filter and simulated for online prediction. Different charging/discharging patterns with various Tamb values were applied to the simulation. The output parameter Ts in the KF showed no dependence on Tc, indicating that Tc is not a significant source of estimation error for the first-order model.
CORE uses a medical-grade sensor made by Zurich-based greenTEG AG to measure your core body temperature. It can be attached to your bra band, sports bra or even a cycling top, using the included adhesive patches.
The sensor is designed to accurately measure core temperature in the center of the torso, which is considered to be the most reliable spot skin care store near me for a core body measurement. The CORE app translates the core body temperature metrics into meaningful data, which can be displayed on connected/paired devices or saved in the FIT file for future use.
Precision
BM CORE HEAT uses medical grade, Swiss-made thermal energy transfer sensors to deliver consistent accuracy. The sensor has been rigorously tested against rectal thermometers, ear thermometers and laser scanners to demonstrate an appropriate level of precision. This is important because it’s common for core temperature and skin temperature to diverge as the body works hard to regulate its heat. This puts strain on the body and can reduce performance. The CORE sensor measures this heat strain to help you recover and perform at your best.
Flexibility
The CORE sensor has an internal memory and can store metrics even when disconnected from a paired device. The next time the device connects, the sensors will synchronise and load the data.
Skin temperature varies widely depending on environmental conditions, and has little correlation to core body temperature. This is why it is important to track core body temperature, rather than skin temperature, during heat training and acclimation.
Heat strain describes the physiological work needed to cool the body, and it can have a significant impact on performance. CORE provides real-time heat strain metrics to help you train safely, and improve your performance in hot races. It also tracks cumulative daily heat strain. It is based on a thermal energy transfer sensor from greenTEG and a sophisticated AI algorithm.
