Applications

The ULT ultrasonic handle 4.5MM has been evaluated using an ex vivo chicken breast sample to assess its focusability and ultrasound energy density. The 7 MHz, 4.5 mm TC produced 10 discrete MFUTZs at a TL length of 10 mm and evenly spaced at 1 mm for three different energy levels. The MFUTZs were circular in shape with diameters of 0.264, 0.421, and 0.453 mm at energy level one, two, and three respectively. The temperature rise was measured by a thermocouple probe at the tissue-thermocouple interface.
